Luther wrote a tragicomic story for the Freelance. Comparing the agency to the witch-hunting House Un-American Activities Committee, the piece was headlined “Incompetence, Thank God, Helps Keep Our Mini-HUAC from Its Appointed Rounds.” Luther also turned the (pilfered commission) stationary over to Lew and Ed.
Lew thought it would be amusing to send Patt Derian the latest copy of the Freelance in a Sovereignty Commission envelope. He failed to put adequate postage on the communication, however, so it was returned to the Sovereignty Commission offices, triggering a major investigation. Read the rest of this entry »

Has Blue Bell Ice Cream always had the tagline, “It’ll make anyone want to sing ‘Dixie’”? Because I find that disgusting. If think I’ll stop buying their ice cream from time to time.
It’s bad enough that Ole Miss’ alma mater talks about how Ole Miss is always calling. We all know what comes after a rousing rendition of “Dixie” …
However, I really like the Morgan Freeman Visa commercial for the Olympics.
